                                  Sea breaking over Queen's Promenade.

This time last week the island was preparing it's self for a wet and windy day. A combination of strong winds, high tides and a extremely low barometric pressure left many low lying areas under threat. In an age of modern technology householder likely to be effected were sent a letter warning them of the danger. Hard luck if you leave for work before the post arrives.

Anyway I thought I'd share a few images of that day.
